HC Deb 04 May 1944 vol 399 cc1479-80W
Sir W. Edge

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how far the newly imposed ban on travel will affect the movement of Government officials normally employed overseas and on what lines.

Mr. H. Morrison

As has been publicly announced, travel from this country to all destinations overseas is temporarily suspended except for business of urgent national importance that cannot be postponed. This principle applies to travel by Government officials in the same way as it applies to other people.
