§ Mr. Silkinasked the Secretary of State for War if a company director who works for over 60 hours a week in a business to which the Essential Work Order applies is thereby exempt from service in the Home Guard.
§ Sir J. GriggA member of the Home Guard who is engaged for 60 or more hours a week on work of national importance is not automatically excused duty, but he may apply for discharge or easing of duty. The decision rests with the unit commander.
