HC Deb 16 June 1944 vol 400 cc2303-4W
Sir W. Edge

asked the Minister of Pensions in what way widows whose husbands have voluntarily contributed under the Widows' and Orphans' Contributory Pensions Act, 1937, and who have died on active service, benefit from such contribution if they receive a Service pension; and whether he will take steps to ensure that such widows are better off than those of non-contributing civilians who have fallen in action.

Sir W. Womersley

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer and explanation given by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health on 5th August last in reply to a question by the hon. Member for Penryn and Falmouth (Mr. Petherick) of which I am sending him a copy.
