HC Deb 15 February 1944 vol 397 cc33-4W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Warfare what supplies were sent to Spain from this country during 1943; and what quantities were covered by navicerts from other countries.

Mr. Foot

The principal exports from the United Kingdom to Spain during 1943 were coal, coke, pitch, seed potatoes, chemicals and pharmaceuticals and asbestos manufactures. Total Spanish imports during 1943 from other countries covered by navicerts or United States export licences were approximately 1,450,000 tons.
