asked the Secretary of State for War who are the chief lecturers to the British Army under the Central Advisory Council for Adult Education.

I am not sure which lecturers my hon. Friend has in mind. There are several thousand part-time civilian lecturers on the panels of the 23 Regional Committees of the Central Advisory Council for Adult Education in His Majesty's Forces. In addition, 84 full-time civilian lecturers are at present employed by the Central Advisory Council for work with the various Regional Committees.
