§ Squadron-Leader Flemingasked the President of the Board of Trade whether a person who has bought a pair of boots which have quickly proved to be made of faulty material, is entitled to a return from the shopkeeper of the coupons expended thereon; or whether he should apply to the officials of his Department for extra coupons in order to purchase another pair of useful footwear.
§ Mr. DaltonIf the boots are returned within 28 days, and the trader accepts them, the purchaser is entitled to a refund of coupons from the trader, but not from the Board of Trade.
