§ Mr. R. Morganasked the Minister of Health whether, in connection with the White Paper which he proposes to introduce with regard to the medical aspects of the Beveridge Report, he will provide a list of those organisations, in addition to the medical profession, from which he received evidence and representations with regard to the matters with which the White Paper is to deal?
§ Mr. E. BrownI have had preliminary discussions on the question of a National Health Service with representatives of the medical profession, local authorities and voluntary hospitals. A number of other organisations have communicated with me on the subject. I made it clear, however, that when the White Paper is published I shall be ready to receive from organisations and persons interested any representations which they wish to make in the light of their study of the Paper. It would therefore, I think, be misleading to publish at the present time a list of those410W organisations who have communicated with me in advance of the Paper other than those whom I especially invited to enter into preliminary discussions.
