HC Deb 22 September 1943 vol 392 cc250-1W
Flight-Lieutenant Raikes

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware that during August Bank Holiday there was great congestion of passenger travel in many parts of the country; and whether the decision not to run extra trains was one made by the Ministry of War Transport or by the main line railways?

Mr. Noel-Baker

The decision to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers was made by my Noble Friend.
