HC Deb 21 September 1943 vol 392 c50W
Mr. Boothby

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that there is a serious shortage of kettles in the country districts of Scotland; and, in view of their importance to the housewife, whether he will arrange for further supplies to be made available?

Mr. Dalton

As my hon. Friend will appreciate, the output of kettles is limited by the heavy demands for labour for war industries, but I have recently arranged for production to be stepped up and Scotland will get its fair share of the increased supplies.
