HC Deb 21 September 1943 vol 392 cc44-5W
Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is the policy of his Department to investigate complaints of damage to objects of national, antiquarian, or historical value; and what is the procedure to be adopted by those who know the facts and wish to make representations?

Sir J. Grigg

. All complaints about damage done by soldiers are carefully investigated if the particulars are forwarded either to the War Office or to the local military authorities.
