§ Mr. Manderasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works what arrangements have been made for the contracting industry to employ its skilled man-power and plant, in view of the fact that construction for war purposes has greatly decreased?
§ Mr. HicksAs I stated in my reply of 22nd September last to the hon. Member for Newport (Sir R. Clarry) it is not anticipated that any labour will become redundant within the next few months. Any excavating plant which becomes available will be used in the winning of outcrop coal and other essential work.
