HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 c898W
Major York

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether a decision has now been reached as to the handling of the milk produced in Nidderdale?

Mr. Mabane

Yes, Sir. My Noble Friend is satisfied that the milk produced in the Nidderdale district can be conveniently sent direct to the consuming centres without passing through a depot. He has, therefore, decided that the depot at Darley shall remain closed and that the Birstwith Depot shall also be closed as soon as the collection rounds have been rearranged.
