§ Mr. Emrys-EvansIn Kenya a Settlement Section of the Agricultural Production and Settlement Board has now been set up for the purpose of such planning, but no recommendations by this new section have yet been notified to my right hon. and gallant Friend. A settlement officer has also been appointed to ascertain what areas of Crown land or land already alienated might be made available for further settlement. The matters referred to in the second and third parts894W of the Question will no doubt be considered in the light of the information so obtained. No schemes have been formulated elsewhere in East Africa for further European settlement.
