HC Deb 12 October 1943 vol 392 cc725-6W
Mr. Hannah

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he realises the vast amount of work asked from pharmacists and others in complying with recent requirements, especially under Toilet Preparations (No. 3) Order, needing a far larger staff than it is possible for stores to maintain in present conditions; and v ill he consent to simplification?

Mr. Dalton

The present control of the manufacture and supply of toilet preparations has been worked out in close consultation with the trade. I am satisfied that this control is necessary to check evasion and black marketing by a minority of traders.
