HC Deb 12 October 1943 vol 392 cc742-3W
Mr. Turton

asked the Minister of Health what notice was given, under Section 38 of the Rating and Valuation Act, 1925, to the inhabitants of Haxby that a competent person employed to give advice or assistance in connection with the valuation of hereditaments in the parish of Haxby was entering or surveying and valuing hereditaments in the parish of Haxby on certain dates in the course of the past 12 months?

Mr. E. Brown

I am informed that the surveys have practically all been carried out with the agreement of the occupiers of the properties concerned and that only in very few cases has it been necessary to invoke the powers of Section 38 of the Rating and Valuation Act, 1925.
