§ Sir J. GriggThe house to which it is believed my hon. Friend refers was requisitioned on 3rd June, 1940, and from that date until August of this year was in constant use. Since October it has again been occupied and is likely to remain occupied for some months. The possibility of derequisitioning it when it is no longer required for its present purpose will be examined when the time comes. I am informed that the house is in a satisfactory state of repair. It has not been painted outside but I regret that this can not be done here or in many other requisitioned properties until labour and materials are available.
