HC Deb 11 March 1943 vol 387 cc874-5W
Sir J. Wardlaw-Milne

asked the Minister of Labour what decision has been come to regarding Bank Holiday dates for workers at Easter and, if Good Friday is not to be a Bank Holiday, whether the Government will inform employers that those who, for religious reasons, desire to observe that day, may choose to work on one of the subsequent days in preference to Good Friday?

Mr. Bevin

The views of the Government on holiday arrangements for 1943 have been made known in an announcement of which I am sending my hon. Friend a copy. It is not practicable to make any general arrangement such as is suggested in the latter part of the Question.
