§ Mr. PeakeI understand that my hon. Friend is referring to the compensation 543W scheme and benefit scheme for this disease amongst coal miners. The delay is due to the necessity for consulting the employers' arid workers' associations. Representations have been received on a number of points which are under consideration, and my right hon. Friend hopes to settle the schemes very shortly. I regret that no figures as to the number of men suffering from pneumoconiosis are available.
