asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will give the names of the principal British representatives in Allied Military Government in Occupied Territory, together with their business and public service qualifications?

The names of the principal British representatives in Allied Military Government in Occupied Territory are as follow:

Major-General Lord Rennell of Rodd, C.B.: Chief Civil Affairs Officer;

Colonel R. J. P. Thorne-Thorne: Chief Staff Officer;

Colonel A. P. Grafftey Smith: Chief Finance Officer;

Colonel Gordon Cheyne, O.B.E., M.G.: Chief Health Officer;

Lieut.-Colonel C. R. S. Harris: Custodian of Enemy Property;

Group-Captain C. E. Benson, D.S.O.: Regional Military Administrator.
