HC Deb 21 July 1943 vol 391 c916W
Sir H. Williams

asked the Attorney General whether his attention has been called to the loose, gummed, corrigendum slip headed S.R. and 0. 1943, No. 766, purporting to correct the Braces (Manufacture and Supply) Direction 1943, of 2nd June 1943; and whether he will be prepared to ask the courts to take notice of this Order which bears neither date nor validating signature, nor the imprint of His Majesty's Stationery Office?

The Attorney-General

My attention has been called to the corrigendum slip referred to. I would be prepared to submit to the Court that notice should be taken of this Order but the Court would in my opinion be entitled to and might require other evidence that the Order, together with the corrigendum slip, set out the Directions of the Board of Trade.
