HC Deb 21 July 1943 vol 391 c906W
Mr. Shinwell

asked the Minister of Information whether he intends to make any arrangements so as to free the British Broadcasting Corporation from political influence at the first General Election and promote complete impartiality in the provision of political broadcasts?

Mr. Bracken

I cannot forecast the conditions which will prevail at the next General Election, but I have no doubt that a fair and reasonable arrangement will be made which will be generally deemed acceptable.
