HC Deb 21 July 1943 vol 391 c914W
Viscountess Davidson

asked the Home Secretary on what date the City of Westminster reported that the buildings in Abingdon Street were in such a condition that they were dangerous to the public?

Miss Wilkinson

So far as I am aware, no report has been submitted by the City of Westminster. The decision to demolish these buildings was taken as a result of surveys made by the appropriate officers of the London County Council between December, 1942, and February, 1943.
