HC Deb 18 February 1943 vol 386 c1962W
Wing-Commander James

asked the Home Secretary whether he will give an assurance that an alient doctor or dentist granted permission during the war to set up in private practice shall not, when he has to re-emigrate, be allowed to sell that practice for more than he gave for it?

Mr. H. Morrison

I am not aware of any case in which this question could arise, as alien doctors or dentists are not allowed to set up in private practice on their own account, unless, in exceptional cases, it has been decided that they can be allowed to remain here.
