HC Deb 11 February 1943 vol 386 c1455W
Sir Dymoke White

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he will agree to an option being given to the mothers of children up to three years of age to take the children's sweet ration in sugar, as young children do not all suck sweets and often the mother denies herself the sugar she should have for the benefit of her children?

Mr. Mabane

My Noble Friend has no evidence that the present sugar ration is inadequate and regrets that he cannot see his way to adopt my hon. Friend's suggestion.
