Major Lloyd GeorgeThere is no such veto, but I do not encourage the use of high-powered cars and petrol allowances are not calculated at a higher consumption rate than one gallon to 20 miles except in exceptional circumstances, such as the need to draw a heavy trailer. In accordance with this decision regional petroleum officers are empowered to grant an increased allowance for cars of any horsepower in respect of mileage run with a trailer.
