HC Deb 03 February 1943 vol 386 c911W
Sir W. Smithers

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food how the surplus food was disposed of when two meal centres at Marlborough, and Park Walk, in Chelsea, were closed down?

Mr. Mabane

In accordance with the usual practice of the London County Council, the reserve foodstuffs in stock at the centres mentioned by my hon. Friend have been transferred to neighbouring restaurants of the Londoners' Meals Service which are replacing those closed down.
