HC Deb 17 December 1943 vol 395 c1833W
Rear-Admiral Beamish

asked the Minister of Food what conclusion he has reached regarding the setting-up of a British Restaurant in the borough of Lewes following the inquiries made by the Divisional Food Officer?

Colonel Llewellin

Subsequent to the inquiries to which my hon. and gallant Friend refers, the council reconsidered its original decision not to establish a British Restaurant and decided to reaffirm it. I do not consider that any further intervention on my part would now be justified.
