asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether it is proposed to authorise a further issue of stock by the Coal Commission?

Yes, Sir. With the approval of the Minister of Fuel and Power and of the Treasury, the Coal Commission have to-day issued to the National Debt Commissioners £36,500,000 3 per cent. Coal Commission Guaranteed Stock 1980–2016. The price of issue is £97 10s. 0d. per cent. and the Stock is guaranteed by the Treasury under Section 29 of the Coal Act, 1938.
