HC Deb 14 December 1943 vol 395 cc1407-8W
Mr. Martin

asked the Minister of Health when, in view of the increasing gravity of the housing situation, he will review the Government's housing policy to facilitate the more rapid provision of accommodation?

Miss Horsbrugh

As stated by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Production during the, Debate on the Address, the Government are fully aware that at the present moment the civil population, especially in this matter, is living under the greatest strain. The relief of this strain is a first objective in Government policy to be undertaken when war necessities make labour and materials available and I can assure my hon. Friend that the earliest possible chance will be taken.
