asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works when the Stratford-on-Avon drying plant and silo will be available?

I hope that it will be ready for use by 30th September next.

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works whether he will identify the drying plants which have been, or are being, constructed by his Department for the Ministry of Food, stating which of them will be ready for the 1943 harvest?

Mr. Hicks

No drying plants are being erected for the Ministry of Food other than by my Ministry, who are constructing 15 such plants. Completion of seven of these was promised by September, it is anticipated that five will be completed then, but that the remaining two will not be ready till October.
