asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Planning whether his Ministry will be the authority finally responsible for the establishment of building laws and regulations or whether these will be controlled by the Ministry of Health?

The position under the existing law was stated by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health, in answer to a Question by my hon. Friend on nth June, 1942. As my hon. Friend will understand, I cannot say how the position may be affected by future legislation.
