HC Deb 29 September 1942 vol 383 c690W
Mr. Brooke

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether arrangements are being made to enable civilians, where duties entitle them to a petrol allowance, to obtain anti-freeze for motor-car radiators this winter?

Mr. Noel-Baker

No, Sir; the supply of anti-freeze is so limited that it is only possible to make it available for private car users who cannot conveniently take alternative measures for protection against frost. Such private car owners should apply to the Regional Transport Commissioner in whose region the car is normally kept.
