HC Deb 11 September 1942 vol 383 cc541-2W
Sir D. Hacking

asked the Secretary of State for War whether it is his intention to increase the financial and other assistance granted to Army cadets, in order that their treatment may compare more favourably with that accorded to the Air Training Corps?

Mr. A. Henderson

I would refer my right hon. Friend to the reply given on 9th June last to a similar Question by the hon. Member for Twickenham (Mr. Keeling), when it was explained that the grants are based on the expenses which have to be met. The adequacy of the grants is reviewed from time to time in the light of experience and such a review of the Army cadet grants is at present in progress.
