HC Deb 10 September 1942 vol 383 c312W
Mr. W. Brown

asked the Minister of Health whether he will give instructions that when the billeting on householders of a war worker would cause the withdrawal of the householder's wife from part-time war work, such billetings shall not be proceeded with?

Mr. E. Brown

No, Sir. Such decisions must be taken locally in relation to the facts of the case. In any case where a householder is aggrieved by the service of a billeting notice he may appeal to the Billeting Tribunal who have power to cancel or vary the notice as they think fit.
