HC Deb 08 September 1942 vol 383 c67W
Mr. E. Walkden

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that certain laundries still collect from, and deliver to, the same destinations on different days; and whether he will consult with the Ministry of War Transport with a view to preventing this wasteful practice?

Mr. Noel-Baker

I have been asked to reply. The separate collection and delivery of laundry is only allowed in exceptional circumstances. If my hon. Friend will send me particulars of any case which, in his view, merits inquiry, I shall be glad to look into it.
