asked the Home Secretary, with reference to the 291 cases of detention under Regulation I8B, which had been reviewed and subsequently reported on by the Advisory Committee up to the 30th June, 1942, in how many cases a decision was taken not to give effect to the recommendation of the Committee?

Of the 291 cases referred to, effect has not been given to the recommendation of an Advisory Committee in 28 cases. In 20 of these cases the Committee recommended release, and in eight cases detention.
