HC Deb 22 October 1942 vol 383 cc2133-4W
Dr. Summerskill

asked the Secretary of State for War whether candidates for commissions in the Brigade of Guards are interviewed by the War Office Selection Board in order to determine their suitability in the same way as other potential officers?

Sir J. Grigg

Candidates for commissions in the Brigade of Guards are not interviewed by a War Office Selection Board. For these candidates the process of selection and testing before they are admitted to an Officer Cadet Training Unit is carried out by the Commanding Officer and staff at the Regimental Training Centres.
