§ Mr. A. HendersonMy hon. Friend will appreciate that such officers work as long as their duties require irrespective of fixed hours. In general, officers work at least 1995W 51 hours a week both at the War Office and in G.H.Q., Cairo. Officers in the War Office are given a maximum of seven days' leave four times a year. Officers in G.H.Q., Cairo, have no regular periods of leave. They are given a day or two when they can be spared.
