HC Deb 21 October 1942 vol 383 c1996W
Mr. Kirby

asked the Secretary of State for War how many commissions have been granted to persons whom it was intended to employ in the catering services of the Army; and what percentage of such commissions were granted to persons formerly employed by, or in connection with, the firm of Messrs. Joseph Lyons and Company?

Mr. A. Henderson

It would not be in the public interest to disclose the number of commissions granted for service in the Army Catering Corps. Of the total, however, about 5 per cent. were formerly employed or connected with the company referred to by my hon. Friend.
