asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he has considered the protest of the National Union of Scottish Mineworkers against the refusal of the Regional Coal Controller to divulge the names of persons appointed by the various coal companies to receive directions from the controller; and whether the names can now be given?

My right hon. Friend has been informed of the representations of the National Union of Scottish Mine-workers. It would be contrary to his wish that the names of persons appointed by coal companies to receive directions' should he regarded as secret, and he is approaching the Scottish mineowners on the point.
