§ Sir A. DuncanEmployees at Royal Ordnance Factories are given the option of relying on the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Acts or of accepting in substitution the Government Scheme. Payment under the scheme is in no case less favourable than under the Acts; in most cases it is more favourable. The main advantages are that the worker gets compensation without a waiting period, and receives free medical treatment, including hospital treatment.
