HC Deb 14 October 1942 vol 383 cc1640-1W
Brigadier-General Clifton Brown

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the new milk contracts sent out by the Government officials of the Milk Marketing Board are not applicable in many cases and many milk producers have not signed them in consequence; and whether he will instruct the Milk Marketing Board to accept contracts amended to suit the different circumstances of the smaller producers?

Mr. Mabane

The new milk contracts were prescribed by the Milk Marketing Board with the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Food and were sent to producers by the Board. So far as I am aware they are applicable to the circumstances of large and small producers alike.
