Friend is referring to the fluorescent tubular system of lighting which has been introduced, with beneficial results, at numerous factories working for the Ministry of Supply, during the past two years. It is installed in those sections where, owing to the nature of the processes in operation, it is expected that the effects on output will justify the expenditure of labour and materials involved.
