HC Deb 01 October 1942 vol 383 c953W
Mr. W. Brown

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware that the arrangements for collecting tickets from alighting passengers at Colindale are such that it takes many minutes for passengers to pass through the barriers and that, as a consequence, hundreds of quarters and halves are lost by workmen at factories in the neighbourhood; and whether he will take steps to ensure that this waste of labour is avoided?

Mr. Noel-Baker

The staff provided at Colindale, and the arrangements made in the station conform to the standards established by the London Passenger Transport Board for other stations with similar traffic. But in view of the hon. Member's complaint about the working of these arrangements, special observation is being made.
