§ Mr. Noel-BakerIn the year 1941–42 296 authorities claimed grants in respect of snow-ploughs. Between 1st April last and 31st October 218 other authorities have applied for grants. Seven claims were not admitted because it was considered that sufficient plant was already available. Fifteen claims were not admitted because the ploughs had been purchased before grants were available.
