§ Sir J. GriggI have had this case investigated. The soldier's unit was mobilised for service abroad at the time his transfer was being considered. My hon. Friend will appreciate that it is most undesirable to withdraw men from a unit in such circumstances and such withdrawals are only authorised if men are specially needed for other employment or for training as officers.
