Smithersasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether his attention has been called to an Order, dated 3rd November, 1942, amending the Feeding Stuffs Order, 1942, No. 2031; and, in view of the mistakes which necessitated the publication of this Order, whether disciplinary action has been taken against the person or persons concerned?
§ Mr. MabaneI am aware of the Order, dated 3rd November, which corrects six minor clerical errors (two punctuation and four spelling) which occurred in the lengthy and detailed Schedule to the Feeding Stuffs (Regulations of Manufacture) Order, 1942. The opportunity was also taken to deal at the same time with a minor point of drafting and with a printing error. The proof readers have been subjected to disciplinary action appropriate to the offence.
