HC Deb 17 November 1942 vol 385 c207W
Mr. Groves

asked the Minister of Production whether full consideration has been given to the waste of paper by Government Departments and statutory bodies in making unnecessary communications, including such matters as the notification of decisions of medical service sub-committees to the General Medical Council and the correspondence between the General Medical Council and the doctors concerned?

Mr. Garro Jones

There are special committees which consider the means of obtaining economy in the use of paper by Government Departments and by other users of paper including statutory bodies. The attention of the appropriate committee has been drawn to the matter referred to by my hon. Friend with a view to inquiries into what economies can be obtained.
