asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will consider the advisability of removing the restriction at present applicable to Austrians serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service by which they can only be employed as cooks, orderlies and storekeepers?

Austrians serving in the A.T.S. are doing useful work at the present time. The question of extending the scope of their employment is considered from time to time but my hon. Friend will appreciate that for security reasons there must always be some restrictions.
