§ Mr. Thorneasked the Minister of Labour whether he can give any information in connection with the two men killed and II men injured by a falling building at Chessington, Surrey, and what was the cause of the building collapsing?
§ Mr. BevinI understand that, as found at the inquest on the 30th October, when a verdict of accidental death was returned, a partially constructed roof of a building collapsed. The bracing provided to maintain the roof trusses in a stable condition during erection gave way. I am taking steps to direct attention to the causes of the accident with a view to preventing a recurrence.
